CT voted 3rd best food city in the world

Hungry for a winning meal? Head to Cape Town!

Cape Town’s fly foodie scene scores a worldwide win

Forget the mountains and the sea (yawn). In fact, even forget the bounty of models/actresses that populate Clifton every summer afternoon. Cape Town has added another notch to its awesome belt.

Thanks to magazine Conde Nast Traveler, Cape Town is now the 3rd best food city in the world.

South Africa’s First Lady is literally one of the tastiest cities in the world. Basically, this means that it’s never been a better time to be hungry in Cape Town!

What’s fly about chowing down in the Mother City is that there’s a killer meal for every appetite (and bank balance).

From the one-year waiting list at the famed Pot Luck Club, to the fast-and-friendly stalls serving everything from Korean fast-food to bunny chows and on-trend fish tacos at the Saturday institution, The Neighbourgoods Market.

Plus, since Cape Town is relatively small, many of the top-notch foodie hangouts are only a short Uber away.

Word to the wise: you have to try the banana bread bunny chow at Honest Chocolate.

So what’s on the menu for you? Do you want to add some flavour by classing it up at a vineyard, or banish your hunger against the panty-dropping vista of the Twelve Apostles?

Check out the list here and work up a world-class hunger.
