Fly Tunes: October’s Hottest Tracks

The louder the better…

8 reasons that October sounded good!

SA hip-hop is currently sounding mad nice. The sun is finally out and our local artists are outchea putting in the work aiming to own summer 2015. What a time to be alive!

So here at Flying Fish HQ, we decided to holla at our favourite urban culture trend analyst x Puma SA Rep, Ndu Donsa to #AddSomeFlavour and give us the scoop on which local and international tracks he thinks are fly.

Flying Fish Fly Tracks

The Content Editor at SlikourOnLife, Ndu had this to say:

“SA hip-hop is in a real interesting and fun space with many artists dropping records at a frantic pace wanting to own summer. The culture right now is making sure that everything is about quality and artists are really going hard in giving a quality product from music videos to song productions.”

Clearly the man knows what he’s talking about, so skip your regular playlist and turn up Ndu’s 8 track playlist of pure fire.

K2 – LIT

You may know K2 from Big Brother, but he also happens to be one talented MC. Making a lot of noise in these streets, K2 dropped “Lit” just the other day, and it’s already set to be a smash record.

Aewon X Gemini Major did everything to make this the summer record that you should be vibing to.

DreamTeam links up with SA hip-hop’s go-to producer at the moment Anatii, who made sure he gives the trio a summer smash hit.

100kMacassete has to be the flyest local hip-hop mixtape dropped this year. “Kim Maphakisha 2.5” is one of the top jams of the mixtape, and it’s definitely one for the summer.

“What A Time To Be Alive” is a standout album and this track is one of my favourite jams.

Here’s the situation: next time you’re at a pool party or just vibing out, and this track plays, feel free to savour the flavour of the moment because it’s that type of record from Travis Scott.

Already getting a lot of attention, this is Drake’s current hit single, and he adds some serious flavour with those dance moves, bro.

Closing off the list of tracks that should do well in summer, internationally we have Mac Miller “Club House” taken off his GO:OD AM album.

Hey, you over there! Feel free to share your flyest tracks in the comments below, and let’s elevate to #EvenMoreFlavour.
